would definitely go back.
The motel ensuite room was clean and spacious. Air conditioning was a lifesaver, and the bed was super comfortable with electric blankets. The private bathroom had a nice shower, and essentials were stocked. Loved the free breakfast with cereal and toast. The location was right near cafes.

Loved this old historic hotel: appetising food and excellent friendly and extremely friendly staff. The location was good and amazing for weekend in Katoomba. There were a shopping street and a supermarket around the venue.

The Clarendon in Katoomba offered a blend of charm and convenience. The staff impressed me with their helpfulness. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly, and they were always ready to assist with any inquiries. The room featured a cozy queen bed and a sun-room area. The availability of local groceries nearby, like Aldi and Coles, was a great perk. The continental breakfast, priced at $10, provided essentials like cereal and toast, although I wished for a bit more variety, such as boiled eggs. The decor was a bit dated, reflecting its history, but it added a quirky charm. The hotel's location made it easy to explore Katoomba Street's cafes and shops within minutes. The mattress felt quite firm, which might not suit everyone's preference. The bathroom lacked adequate hooks for clothes was nice. It provided good value for a short getaway, despite minor drawbacks.

Couple looking for budget stay
I found the location to be spot on, just a brief stroll from the Main Street! The vintage feel was charming, was like I was stepping back in time each time I entered my room.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but that's kind of the deal with places like this.

Good intentions, flawed execution
The reverse cycle air conditioner kept us warm during chilly nights.
Unfortunately, the room's decor felt outdated and a bit dreary. The shower needed better privacy, and parking was challenging, proving annoying at times .

Wi-Fi was solid and the game room was fun. Shared bathroom was cramped, though.

The staff were super friendly and helpfull, and i really liked the vintage vibe of the place. Our queen room had a nice sun-room area which was great to relax in. It was close to all the cafes and shops, so we didnt have to walk far. Having near groceries like coles was a huge plus, too! The air con kept us warm on those cold nights.
The breakfast was just okay, could have had more variety. The room was a bit outdated and small.

quaint decor, friendly front of house staff, location near main street
The metal screeching noises when pulling out of the driveway were alarming!!! The swimming pool looked like an abandoned project with leaves at the bottom. The small private bathrooms felt cramped and poorly designed.
